Ingredients: (The ingredients for a dozen persons)
- 1 kg Carrots
- 150 gram mawaa i.e. condensed milk with little or no moisture (dessicated)
- Half cup sugar (100 gm)
- 2 tablespoons ghee
- 4 green cardamoms in powdered form
- Raisins 30
- 10 roasted cashews
Wash and dry the carrots. Next, grate it. Place this in a pan or wok (kadai) with sugar and cook in medium heat. When the mixture begins to dry add mawaa and ghee and roast, stirring the mixture continuously. It will give off an enticing aroma as it begins to dry. At this point add the cardamom powder and mix well to get a consistent mixture. Then top it with raisins and cashews.
The dish is ready to eat. Serve hot or cold.
